**The same recitation will be used for the preliminary, semifinal and final rounds.

Precautions

  1. Contestants must report the title (if applicable), and if the author's name is already listed in the designated recitation, contestants must report the title together with the author's name, than.   2. Participants may state their names, but they are not required to make any introductory or closing remarks such as self-introduction or thank you.

  3. Contestants are only required to recite the material once.

Requirements for uploading videos for the preliminary and final rounds of the competition

  1. At the beginning of the video, the participant must clearly state his/her full name, and his/her face, movements and voice must be clearly recorded.

  2. The movie must be recorded live and cannot be dubbed.

  3. Video must be 1080p or higher resolution, 4:3 or 16:9 ratio is acceptable, landscape or portrait orientation is acceptable.

  4. The length of the video must not exceed 3 minutes, the format must be MP4, and the size of the video must not exceed 1GB.

  5. Each participant can only submit once. Participants are requested to submit the final version of their movie.

  6. When submitting your video, you should name the video file with the name of the participant and the name of the competition (e.g. XXX_Chinese).

  7. Try to keep the camera unit stationary and avoid vibration, shaking or movement.

  8. It is recommended to shoot in well-lit or light-colored backgrounds, please do not use special effects AI or other unnatural moisturizing effects.

  9. Contestants can flexibly incorporate personalized performance elements of literary speech according to the characteristics of the work. On the basis of the original recitation material into the makeup, costume, music, props, the form of choice.

  10. The video must be shot in its original form, with no special effects such as graphics, text, filters, transitions, color grading, lighting, subtitles, etc., and no editing or post-production is allowed.

Event Details

  1. The information contained in this application form is for processing by the Executive Committee of the International Chinese and English Speech Contest (hereinafter referred to as the Executive Committee) only. Participants who require access to or correction of their personal information should contact the Executive Committee.

  2. This is an individual event and the preliminary competition is free of charge.

  3. If a participant has been shortlisted for the Final, the participant may participate in the online Final (US$30 per person per event), which includes the Finalist's fee and trophies, medals and certificates (if shortlisted for the Final and awarded with prizes); or if the participant does not participate in the Final, the participant may choose to apply for an e-certificate of the Finalist (US$10 per person per event).

  4. Each participant can only participate in the same age group as the one he/she is participating in.The Executive Committee reserves the right to request participants to provide relevant evidence if necessary.

  5. Each participant must carefully check his/her registration information, competition level and event details when registering for the competition, and no changes can be made once the registration is confirmed.

  6. Each participant can participate in more than one event at the same time, and must choose the designated recitation for the competition when uploading the video.

  7. Each participant can only register once and upload his/her video only once. The Executive Committee reserves the right to disqualify the participant in case of repetition.

  8. The Executive Committee has the right to cancel the competition of the relevant category if the number of participants of that category is insufficient.

  9. The Executive Committee will confirm the entries within 5-6 working days after the entries are made.

  10. After confirming the application, the Executive Committee will send an email to the system login account for uploading the video for the competition.

  11. The Executive Committee will not accept any application for entry or submission after the deadline.

  12. The Executive Committee reserves the right to reject any film that does not meet the specifications of the competition and its decision is final.

  13. After the semi-final selection, finalists will be required to participate in the real-time online video finals; if they fail to attend the real-time online video finals, they will be deemed to have forfeited the competition, and no other arrangement will be made by the Association.

  14. The Executive Committee reserves the right to arrange the date, time and other details of the competition and participants are not allowed to disagree. For participants who are taking part in more than one event at the same time, please contact the Association if there is any conflict in the schedule of the competition.

  15. Participants are advised to pay attention to the latest news and notices posted on the official website of the competition without prior notice.

  16. Participants are required to read the "Competition Handbook", competition time and other competition details and information, and the Association will not be responsible for any impact on the competition.

  17. Participants are required to log in to the online competition system 10-15 minutes before the competition time to register, please present your name and photo identification documents during registration, if you fail to provide the relevant documents, the Association reserves the right to disqualify you from the competition.

  18. Only one participant is allowed to be in the camera during the competition and no other person is allowed to appear in the picture. In case of violation, the Association reserves the right to disqualify the participant from the competition, and the participant shall not object.

  19. During the competition, no one is allowed to give any kind of hints to the participants, such as directing, lip-synching, movement, etc. Once discovered, the Association reserves the right to disqualify the participants.

  20. Participants must strictly comply with the instructions of our staff. Violation of the rules and repeated advice will result in disqualification from the competition.

  21. The entrant understands and agrees that the Executive Committee has the right to record all materials, including photographs, audio recordings, videos or any uploaded information. All such rights shall be granted to the organizers on an irrevocable, unconditional, unrestricted and uncompensated basis. All contests will be recorded and publicly displayed on GAPSK.org, GAPSKplus.org and other partner channels.

  22. The Executive Committee respects the final judgment of the judging panel based on their professionalism and experience, including the ranking, scores and comments, etc. The Executive Committee has the right to make the final decision, and participants are not allowed to disagree.

  23. All participants must abide by all the rules and regulations of the competition. By entering the competition, participants agree to and understand the rules and regulations of the competition.

  3. The provision of personal data is voluntary. However, if the data is incomplete or not provided, the Committee may not be able to process the application or confirm the eligibility of the participant.

  4. The Committee will encrypt and store participants' information with restricted access.

  5. Personal data will only be used by the Commission and authorized partners (e.g. assessment panels, technical support organizations) to the extent necessary. We will not disclose information to third parties without consent, unless required by law or to protect a vital interest.

  6.
